Thanks for the father’s day gift, Mom. It arrived today. I like the shirt — looks great, and no sequins, so I’ll actually wear it. Just tried to call but got a busy signal. Had a great day with the kids — took them up Ulriken and to the water park, and the weather is phenomenal. If Bergen were like this year-round, I’d move here in heartbeat — of course, I already live here, so that’s sort of beside the point. Hope all is well back home.

Hey Matthew, good to see you here. Looks like the triplets are thriving. All is well here in Norway. Today we have weather than almost makes up for the 290 days a year it rains. Hope to see you and meet the clan sometime stateside.

DHQ: Digital Humanities Quarterly: Communitizing Electronic Literature
www.digitalhumanities.org
DHQ 3.2, including “Communitizing Electronic Literature” is now published. “Communitizing Electronic Literature” is a revised and expanded version of the talk I gave at the ELO’s 2008 Visionary Landscapes Conference. In it, I try to lay out what I think are the principle issues confronting the field of electronic literature today, and to establish what I think is at stake within it.

www.english.buffalo.edu
&Now is a great festival of experimental writing. This year it will be held at Buffalo, and Robert Coover will the featured speaker. Steve Tomasula, one of organizers and a creator of wonderful strange fiction, emailed me asking to specifically encourage electronic writers to submit. The deadline for submissions is next week, June 15th. I’m going to look into my schedule — hoping I can be there.
