Birds of Norway is an interactive 3D birdwatching simulator by Scott Rettberg. Listen to the sounds of the common birds of Norway while learning more about them as you navigate the environment. Hover over the birds as they fly past to learn more about the species they represent and learn more about them. This project is an experiment in AI assisted coding using Claude Code and low-weight JavaScript and 3.js modeling of data based on the University of Bergen Museum's natural history collection, live weather data, the xeno canto bird song database, Wikipedia, and more.
