Productive afternoon at UWA. Working in the library isn’t so bad when you’ve got a beach to come home to.

We concluded our workshop with a sort of international treaty for electronic literature, followed by a banquet. Well done, all told.

Workshop in Sydney wraps up tomorrow, then to Perth. Unfortunately I still have grading and 4 writing deadlines to wrap before the end of next week, so I’ll be clocking hours at the University of Western Australia library in between short visits to the beach.

This week is the work component of my Australia visit — doing a workshop with elit colleagues from the US, Europe and Australia, where they are setting up a major new research project based at the University of Western Sydney.

Endless rain in Australia, truly wretched weather, torrents. I suppose the fact that the weather back in Bergen is even more miserable offers some solace. I guess they had the coldest night in 116 years or something last night.
